This is an exciting opportunity at Arxada looking for a motivated Intern in Process Technology to join our R&D department based in Visp, Switzerland. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic specialty chemicals company located in the heart of the Swiss Alps (Canton of Valais).
In this role, you will work on real-world challenges in collaboration with experienced engineers and chemists.
Dive into hands-on process simulations and lab-scale experiments – or combine both to explore real industrial challenges
Design, plan, and execute chemical experiments side-by-side with our senior engineers and chemists, working on cutting-edge technologies in specialty chemicals
Analyze and interpret data to uncover process insights, troubleshoot technical issues, and support decision-making
Contribute to the development of new chemical processes, with a special focus on material compatibility and corrosion behavior in demanding environments
Collaborate across disciplines in a vibrant R&D setting, gaining exposure to real projects and innovative problem-solving
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field
A structured, detail-oriented, and reliable work style – you stay focused and organized even when things get complex
A proactive mindset with curiosity, flexibility, and a strong desire to learn and grow
Solid skills in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) – you know how to organize and present your work clearly
A genuine interest in materials and corrosion science is a plus
Fluent English skills (spoken and written); German is an advantage but not required
